In 2005, I decided to create an ingenious future project that suits well our time-honored history. I decided to establish “Al Bidaa”. The name of the company was chosen to establish its utmost aim; Al Bidaa meaning creativity in Arabic.

As a Qatari who is strongly connected to our customs and traditions, I was inspired to start my project with the manufacturing of Qatari daggers and swords which are two products that have great traditional value. Also, Not wanting for those two products to fade away with the past century’s industrial development, strongly encouraged me to promote those tools and start off my project with them. Swords and daggers not only greatly reflect our traditions, but also sensually and visually connect Qataris with their folklore.

My dream project became a reality. I started Al Bidaa family with only one employee, four manufacturers and two products. After hard work and guidance from God, Albidaa family got bigger. We have now more than 70 competent employees and 12 versatile products. This success was only achieved by the support and kind reception of government parties, our community’s encouraging purchasements and off course our hard work. Our enterprise will only proceed with our willingness to undertake new ventures and our promise to only provide the finest products and services. I ask God guidance and success with all our future endeavors.
